The Museum is located at the end of Avenida La Revolución, Colonia San Benito, in San Salvador, between the Teatro Presidente and the Hotel Sheraton Presidente.

 

Buses and taxi services: Buses number 30 B (stop in front of Plaza Italia) and 34 (stop in front of MARTE Museum). Right in front of MARTE Museum is a taxi terminal ACONTAXIS, PBX: 2523-2424. From Tuesday to Sunday: 10:00 a. m. to 6:00 p. m.

Fee: Adults $1.50. Students $0.50

 

On Sunday visitors can enter MARTE FREE OF CHARGE. 

 

This same benefit is extended to the following every day: 

 

Senior citizens 

Children under 8 years of age 

Public schools 

Students from the National Center for Arts (Centro Nacional de Artes (CENAR) 

Students of the Art School of the National University of El Salvador

Members of the Plastic Arts Association of El Salvador (ADAPES)

Members of the North American Reciprocal Museums Program (NARM), 

Members of the Reader´s Club of the El Diario de Hoy, 

Visitors to the Museo Forma,

Students and teachers of the  Universidad Tecnológica,

 

Facilities for the disabled:


MARTE is accessible to people with physical mobility impairment. There are two wheel chairs at the front desk for any visitor that might require one.


Besides, the programs at the Museum have been designed to cater to people with different kinds of disabilities. Our education program staff has been trained by Fundación Pro Educación de El Salvador (FUNPRES) thanks to an agreement between both organizations.
